What will I learn in your Eliminate Bullying Workshop?

As a participant, you will walk away with everything you need to create your own Bullying Intervention System whether you work at the site or district level. Counselors and interventionists will learn how to conduct the restorative practice called the Undercover Anti-Bullying Team. And, because we are the purveyors of awesomeness, you will also get an electronic copy of the book, Safe and Peaceful Schools by Dr. John Winslade and Michael Williams.

Is this a program that requires me to purchase materials?

We are not a program. Our goal is to give you the skills and knowledge needed to eliminate bullying on your campus. You will not need to purchase any further materials.

I attended your Eliminate Bullying Workshop. Do you offer coaching if I need more help?

We want nothing more than to assist you in being successful with your Bullying Intervention System. Please contact us if you need more help after attending our workshop. There are a variety of ways you can get help and if needed, we are available for private coaching.

Your current workshop is full. When will you hold your next one?

The Eliminate Bullying Workshop runs three times a year. Self-guided online courses will be available soon. Sign up for the mailing list to get early notice on upcoming trainings. 

Why can't we just teach kids who are bullied to fight back?

Unfortunately, teaching a child to fight back can put the child being bullied in harm's way. Furthermore, aggressive behavior is not what we want to teach kids. Our approach is much more effective. Through our process, the students doing the bullying develop empathy and change behaviors without the need for punishment. Even more exciting, the student being bullied develops self confidence. It is incredible. Let us teach you how.

How is this approach different from other programs out there?

Having collectively dealt with over 400 bullying cases in a large urban district, we can safely say that we have not encountered a more effective intervention to address bullying than this approach. There are some great preventative programs that, when lead well, reduce incidents of bullying. However, even with the best prevention methods, bullying still occurs. Our approach is not a program. We will build your capacity in restorative practices so you will be prepared to both prevent and intervene in bullying cases.
