HOW WE BEGAN
Founded in 2020 by Marlene Bicondova
This is the team that was destined to work together. Marlene and Michelle knew each other as distant acquaintances while they attended California State University, San Bernardino at the same time. It wasn't until Michelle became a district program specialist and got assigned to support Marlene's middle school, that the two became connected. During that time, Marlene learned restorative practices from Michelle, and Michelle learned leadership from Marlene.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Stephanie was becoming an expert in crisis intervention and began learning restorative practices. Eventually, she was promoted from elementary counselor to district program specialist where she worked closely with none other than Michele Myers.
Five years later, Marlene was promoted to the Director of Positive Youth Development. Three months into her new position, she was given the task of taking on the district's bullying program. With this change in department work, Marlene was thrilled to learn that she was going to be assigned two program specialists, Michelle Myers and Stephanie Fletcher.
After three years of seeing the amazing results of the Bullying Intervention System, they knew they needed to help districts other than just their own. From then on, the three of them have become professional partners, collaborators and friends. With their shared passion for saving children from the trauma of bullying and each of their unique strengths, they make one incredible team.

We serve any educators who want to are ready for an effective innovative approach to stop bullying. Although we began our work in San Bernardino, we have now trained educators from 12 different districts in Southern California. With our online presence, we are excited to branch out across the United States or wherever we are needed.
